Amy Abler's first two albums are available for purchase now right in the comfort of your home.
Echoing the crossover concert styles of Liberace and Victor Borge, this world-touring US pianist/singer is a classical musician gone rogue. Combining virtuosic technique with vivacious comedy, she covers Beethoven to Broadway, pop to Paganini, ragtime to rock'n'roll. 'A seasoned entertainer who has not forgotten how to entertain' (TheatrePress.com.au). ‘Imagine if Bette Midler and Liberace had a love child... this woman can play the piano... with every part of her body!’ **** (BroadwayBaby.com). ‘From classical to blues... ragtime, Beethoven, ABBA, Van Halen, Jerry Lee Lewis and back again!’ (RipItUp.com). 'One heck of a pianist' **** (TheatreGuide.com.au).
What would happen if Ludwig van Beethoven met Albert Ammons!? They might play classical and boogie-woogie piano for each other, exchange anecdotes and musical facts, or perhaps even share the piano jointly to improvise and jam! Well, here, American classical recitalist Amy Abler and Scottish blues'n'boogie-meister Daniel Smith do all this and much more. A unique, delightful, humorous, musically superb, wonderfully varied, and ultimately rip-roaring piano-fest! Two trans-Atlantic piano music-mates combine to produce a fascinating, entertaining and very special performance that, well... perhaps even Ludwig and Albert would have enjoyed.

Hello! The Edinburgh Festival Fringe has been officially cancelled for 2020, but Amy Abler tentatively plans to resume performing in 2021. If you simply can't wait that long...consider ordering a CD or two (digital downloads are available). Take good care of yourselves and each other by staying apart physically, yet together emotionally. This is a great time to learn new skills (although the jury is still out on whether Amy will ever learn to cook...)!
